Today we were all set to look at properties that the local real estate agent has lined up for Erica. We first went and looked at some places in a big complex called Punta Esmeralda. Unfortunately, that complex – as it turns out – won’t allow three big dogs. And likely with good reason – there really wasn’t a good yard for them to play in.
Then we were off to the La Cruz marina to help out with packaging up the Christmas gifts for the local orphanage. They turned out to be short on small “filler” gifts for the gift bags. The local boaters had come together to buy each orphan the “big” gift that they asked for in their letter to Santa. But we needed stocking stuffer type things to round it all out. Erica and I volunteered to make a run to the local Mega and load up a cart filled with small toys, games, art supplies, and candy. We dropped it all back off so that the volunteers could continue stuffing the bags.
In the middle of all that we went to look at another La Cruz property. Lovely house with an amazing access to the beach. Perfect for the dogs. Alas the house was too small to be practical. So we all agreed that we would continue looking after Erica flys home. If we come across something that looks like a possible – Dave and Melissa will preview – and if it still looks great – Erica will fly back down.
