For weeks now we’ve been anticipating a week buddy boating with Melissa’s brother Charly, and his girlfriend Nomi. Nomi owns an Islander 34-foot sailboat. She and Charly are learning how to cruise. And we figured this week would be a good opportunity while buddy boating to share knowledge and hang out for a week and have a blast! We had gone through the locks over the weekend and parked at Shilshole in anticipation of a launch out with them today as Nomi’s boat lives at Shilshole – one of the few marinas in Seattle to allow her to live-a-board.
We headed out and had a lovely sail to Ostrich Bay. A lovely lake like spot where the gang could go kayaking and enjoy the calm.
